1. Do you know your neighbours well?

Yes, I’d say I know them reasonably well, especially the people who live right next door. We’re not best friends or anything, but we chat in the hallway and sometimes help each other out, like signing for parcels or lending tools. Over time, you get to know people’s routines and personalities, so there’s a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.

2. What kind of people are your neighbours?

They’re quite a mixed bunch, which I actually like. Next door there’s an elderly couple who are incredibly kind and always offer me fruit from their garden. On the other side there’s a young family, and their kids are pretty lively but very polite. Overall, they’re considerate people, not too noisy, and they respect each other’s privacy.

3. How often do you talk to the people who live near you?

I talk to them a few times a week, usually in passing. We bump into each other in the lift or at the entrance, and we’ll have a quick chat about the weather or work. Every now and then, if there’s a community issue, like maintenance in the building, we’ll have a longer conversation. It’s regular enough to feel connected, but not intrusive.

4. Do you think it is important to have good neighbours?

Yes, definitely. Good neighbours can make your daily life much easier and more pleasant. If you trust the people living around you, you feel safer leaving your home or asking for help in an emergency. On top of that, a friendly neighbour can turn a random apartment block into a real community, which is quite comforting in a big city.
