Model answer (Band 8-9)
Part 2Original model answer written by our team for practice — not an official IELTS answer.
The website I’d like to talk about is Notion, which is basically an all-in-one workspace I use for organising my life. It’s a mix between a notes app, a task manager and a wiki, so I can keep everything from shopping lists to long-term goals in one place. I mainly use the web version on my laptop, though I’ve also got the mobile app for when I’m out and about.
I first found out about it a few years ago through a productivity YouTuber who was raving about how it had “transformed” his workflow. At first I was a bit sceptical, because lots of apps promise that. But I tried the free version, followed a couple of tutorials, and little by little I moved all my scattered documents and random notes into Notion. After a week or two, I was completely hooked.
These days, I visit it several times a day, usually first thing in the morning and then on and off throughout the day. I use it to plan my schedule, track my study progress, and keep a record of useful websites, books and ideas. I’ve also created a sort of personal knowledge base where I summarise articles I read or podcasts I listen to, so I don’t forget the key points.
I find this website incredibly useful because it’s so flexible and customisable. Instead of forcing me to work in a fixed way, it lets me design pages that suit my own habits and priorities. On top of that, everything syncs instantly across devices, so I never worry about losing information. In a nutshell, it helps me stay organised, focused and a bit less stressed, which is exactly what I need.
