Megan: Good morning, Riverside Community Sports Centre, Megan speaking. How can I help you?
David: Oh, hello. I'd like to sign up for a membership, please. I've just moved to the area and I'd like to start using the gym.
Megan: Of course, I can set that up for you right now over the phone. Let me just take a few details. First of all, could I have your surname?
David: Yes, it's Ramsden.
Megan: Could you spell that for me, please?
David: Certainly. It's R-A-M-S-D-E-N. Ramsden. And my first name is David.
Megan: Lovely, thank you, David. And what's the best contact number for you?
David: It's my mobile. It's oh-seven-nine-six-six, four-one-two, oh-eight-five.
Megan: Let me just read that back to make sure I've got it right — that's oh-seven-nine-six-six, four-one-two, oh-eight-five?
David: That's the one, yes.
Megan: Perfect. Now, we offer two types of membership. There's the Standard, which is twenty-nine pounds a month and covers the gym and the swimming pool. And there's the Premium at forty-two pounds a month, which adds all of our fitness classes and free parking.
David: Hmm. I think I'll just go for the Standard — actually, no. I really do want to do the classes, so let's make it the Premium, please.
Megan: Good choice. So that's the Premium at forty-two pounds a month. There's also a one-off joining fee of fifteen pounds, which covers your membership card and a locker key.
David: That's fine, no problem.
Megan: Since you've gone for the Premium, shall I book you into a class to get you started?
David: Yes, please. I was thinking of the yoga on Monday evenings... actually, on second thoughts, could you put me down for the spinning class instead? I could really do with the cardio.
Megan: The spinning class it is. That one runs on Wednesday and Friday evenings — which of those suits you better?
David: Friday works best for me.
Megan: Friday evenings, noted. Now, when you come in to pay, please remember to bring a passport-sized photo for your membership card.
David: Will do. Oh, one last thing — what are your opening hours at the weekend?
Megan: On Saturdays and Sundays we open at seven in the morning and close at eight in the evening. During the week we stay open until ten.
David: Great. Thanks so much for your help, Megan.
