Reading Passage
Text A — Swimming pool: changes to the timetable
From Monday 4 November, the main pool will close at 7.00 p.m. instead of 9.00 p.m. every Tuesday so that essential maintenance can be carried out. Lane swimming, which currently takes place on weekday evenings, will move to weekday mornings and will run from 6.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. Children's swimming lessons will transfer from Saturday afternoons to Sunday mornings; parents will receive an email confirming their child's new lesson time.
Please note that the small teaching pool will be closed for two weeks from 11 November for retiling. While it is closed, members may swim free of charge at our partner site, Eastgate Baths, simply by showing their Hillcrest membership card at reception.
Text B — New autumn fitness classes
This autumn we are delighted to launch three new classes.
Beginners' Pilates — Mondays at 7.00 p.m. (45 minutes). £6 per class, or £48 for the full ten-week course.
Aqua Fitness — Wednesdays at 9.30 a.m. Free for Gold members; £5 for all other members.
Teen Circuit Training — Fridays at 5.00 p.m., for ages 13 to 17. The first session is free.
Places are limited to 15 per class, so early booking is advised — book online or at reception. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle to every class. A class will be cancelled if fewer than six people have booked by the day before.
Text C — Lockers, towels and lost property
Lockers are available in all changing rooms and require a £1 coin, which is returned when you collect your belongings. The centre cannot accept responsibility for valuables left in the changing rooms, so please leave them at home if possible. Towels may be hired at reception for £2, with a £5 deposit payable at the time of hire.
Items found in the building are kept in our lost property cupboard for four weeks; anything unclaimed after that time is donated to a local charity shop. Items of obvious value, such as phones, wallets and jewellery, are handed to the duty manager and recorded in a log book.
